Posh Family Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas! We spent Christmas at our home, and it was a joy to see the kids excitement Christmas morning. We were able to go to B'ville the weekend before and spend sometime with my side of the family. And Josh's mother and husband, and one of his sisters came the day after Christmas. Here are a few pics of the Posh Family Christmas.

Santa Fun!

We took the kids to see Santa today! Brynlee loved it as always. Will was not so brave. He had a little crying spell, but we managed to get a photo. I assured him he was still on the good list despite his uncertainty of the jolly man!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....

Today it felt like Christmas time. The wind chill was in the teens, and the temperature dropped to the 20's (Burrrr). We had a little snow and I mean a little. Brynlee wanted to go outside and make snow angels. Of course the touch of snow on the grass was hardly visible, but we went outside for about 5 min (it was too cold). We hope we will get some snow again soon, so we can make Frosty and some snow angels!

William was not sure about the COLD!

Just to let everyone see there was snow (the white below the trees).

All Boy . . . & some Cute Pics

Well, raising a little boy is fun and challenging! After having Miss Brynlee the "angel child", William brings many surprises to each day.

Last year William payed no attention to the Christmas tree (being only 2 months), this year it has him infatuated. Many of our ornaments now have some teeth marks in them, and the ribbons on the tree take on a new look everyday.

He also has a strong desire to continue to get into the chewing gum drawer (the gum is going to have to find a new location). Many of the gum packages have teeth marks on the ends of them. Josh came home the other day and asked me if I was so eager to get a piece of gum that I had to start chewing on the package (ha ha).

Brynlee being the great big sister came running to me this morning crying "William has something small in his mouth". I found him in the kitchen with a chicken bouillon cube in his mouth (who knows how he managed to find that).

He also loves being in his sister's room. He will play with her doll house, her kitchen, her barbies (daddy loves that). His favorite is her Ariel necklace that sings.

This little boy makes me laugh (and want to pull my hair out) everyday!! Despite his strong will, I must say "Thank God for little boys"!!!

I often find him standing in his rocking chair. He heard me coming here and started to sit.

Here he is playing with sister's doll house.

Singing to Ariel with sister. (Brynlee likes to put on her Little Mermaid swimsuit, tiara, and necklace.) William can keep a beat pretty well and sing on key! (Don't let him fool you; he is all boy!)This use to be Josh's horse when he was little. We do not have much room in our house, and this horse stays in the kitchen until William pushes it into the living room and gets on it saying "Ma Ma, ide orseee".

Been Tagged

I have been tagged, and it is a good thing. I have not posted anything for awhile. Not that I do not have anything to post. My time has gotten away from me. Well, I am to find the 4th picture in my 4th folder. This is Brynlee's 2nd Christmas (2006). What I think is funny about this pic is, Josh in the back ground filming and messing with the big wad of dip in his mouth. It is sad that our children know what Daddy's spit cups look like. Maybe someday he will be successful in quiting this bad habit.

Follow the yellow brick road . . . .

Whew. . . I always tell myself not to get all stressed out about things that should be fun, but I still do. Getting Dorothy and my Lollipop kid ready was a chore. First of all, finding a lollipop turned out to be more difficult than I thought. I looked all over, but could not find one. Therefore, I made one. I have to say I was quite proud of myself. Miss Brynlee thought her dress was "itchy" so we had to put a white summer dress underneath (we do not have a slip). She also did not like her pigtail bows touching her ears, so we had to make the ribbon shorter. Since William needed rosy cheeks, I put on some Smashbox blush. Brynlee thought Dorothy needed makeup too. She got to wear some Bare Escentuals mineral veil, blush, and lip gloss. Now, we were ready to follow the yellow brick road. Despite all the drama in getting ready, I think they both had a good time. Brynlee was asking if we could do Halloween again!! Here are a few pictures of my Wizard of Oz cuties!!

Zoo Trip, Horse Ride, & Making Cupcakes!

Since I have not composed a post since last week, I am putting our past week events all in one. Josh was off last week so we took the kids to the zoo. This was William's first zoo trip. Brynlee stayed the weekend with Ma & Pa Kelly in southwest Oklahoma. She had her first horse ride. I heard she was a natural. Today Brynlee begged me to make the Halloween cupcakes that I promised her we would make together. She loved every minute of it.

This week I need to get the last tid bits for their Halloween costumes. Miss Brynlee is Dorthy and William is a munchkin (Daddy was not too thrilled with the munchkin idea; he claims he will get beat up. I told him I can take any 1 year old that wants to make fun of my little boy!) I am sure we will have some pictures to post of the Wizard of Oz cuties next week.

Pumpkin Patch

I love Fall! Cool days where I do not mind going outside to play with the kids! Our excitement this week was picking out some pumpkins, MaMaw and PaPaw visiting, and me getting my hair done. During our pumpkin outing, I had the bright idea to take some pictures. It did not go as planned, but I did get a few. I wanted to go to real pumpkin patch, but we settled for "Under the Sun" instead. Brynlee had fun putting every little pumpkin in the cart, and William had fun stomping in water puddles.

They spent most of their time inspecting the hay during the photo attempt.

A Time of Birthday Celebration and Sooner Mourning!

William's first Birthday party fell on the day of the OU - Texas game. We were all decked out in our crimson and cream, and the game was on during the birthday bash. We all enjoyed some cake and ice cream; then shed tears of defeat. Here our a few pics from Williams first OU Birthday party.

Everyone's Home again!

Well, William and I had the whole weekend to ourselves. My MIL took us shopping on Saturday. It was quite nice. Sunday we did not end up going to church (William had a bout of loose stools). I watched Lifetime all day and played with William. I cannot tell you the last time I was able to watch what I wanted to. The silence was nice, but I did miss my hubby and little girl so. Brynlee got to spend the weekend with MaMaw and PaPaw. She came back with a bucket of treasures and some fish to put in her new fish tank. Josh spent the weekend in Orlando listening to talks about the GI system (quite entertaining I am sure), but he did come home with some free drug-rep goodies. It is nice to have the house full and lively again. Oh, I do love this Family!

Happy Birthday to William!

Well, today my little boy turns 1! One year ago this morning, William decided to enter this world 1.5 wks before his scheduled c-section. It was 2:30 am I woke up to a odd feeling, then thought, "oh no, I think my water just broke". Then I stood up and knew for sure it had; I woke up Josh and all he can say is, "Are you sure? Call Dr. Goff and see what he wants us to do." I started crying because I still had 3 more days of work left and no bags packed, and I knew what we were suppose do!!! Get to the hospital so I can get that c-section!!! Josh was not very empathetic that early. All he wanted to do was take a shower. Oh, the fun memories. Well, here are a few pics of the birthday boy and his family that loves him very much!

Daddy with the kiddos. Daddy had to leave after this photo to go to a GI conference in Florida. We will miss him!!

Mommy, can we go to Heaven?

My little girl always amazes me everyday with her questions. We were in the car this morning on our way to preschool, and like we always do, we looked at the birds and the trees and the people in the cars beside us. This morning Brynlee made the comment that God made the birds and I said yes. Then, she said God is in Heaven with Jesus, and I said yes. Then, she asked: "Can we go to Heaven?" I replied: "When we are finished living here we will go to Heaven and be with Jesus." Then she asked: "Will my house be there?" I replied: "You will have a big house there." She said: "I think I just want our house, and William can live in it too." Oh, the innocence of childhood. Being a mother is sooo great!!

(By the way, no loose stools today!)

Belly Ache and Loose Stools!

My poor girl woke up this morning c/o a belly ache. She did not want to go to the potty because it would hurt her bottom! After much convincing, we went to the potty. She cried, and I cried, and poor Will got to sit in his highchair eating breakfast until the whole ordeal was over. By the way, she wanted her Daddy (can anyone explain that; her Mommy is the one that is always getting her through those tough times, and she wants Daddy because: "he is a doctor and can make it all better".) Little does she understand, the doctor does not make it all better, the nurse does!! Anyways, that passed, and she got to eat crackers and noodles today, despite her asking for "nemos (fruit snacks) and candy corns."

Sunday Afternoons!

Well, I always look forward to Sunday afternoons. We go to church, Sunday school, Pizza Hut, then come home. By that time, Brynlee and William are ready for a long nap. Oh, the peace that a nap brings to the home! It is so nice! Well, this one is short; I need to try and get some work done that I neglected during the week.

Playing around with Blogging!

First Day Blogging!

Well, I am going to give this a try. It may be more for me, but oh well. This has been a long week! Josh has been busy at work, and I have been busy being Mommy. I am getting ready for William's Big Day of turning 1! I cannot believe it is almost here! Miss Brynlee keeps saying "my birthday is next". My little princess would have a Birthday party everyday if she could. Well, I am going to sign off for now. I need to create my blog.
