Snow Day Fun

We decided to venture outside today and play in the snow. Brynlee made some snow angels, and William just explored. We also made a very very small snowman. I do not have the patience to make snowmen. Daddy is much better at it than me. There are also a couple short videos of our outside fun (I have been playing with my new camera that I got for Christmas).

Weekend Activities

I hope everyone had a great weekend. We had MaMaw and PaPaw visiting. Since PaPaw loves cake so much, Brynlee and I decided to make a special cake from scratch. Let me say, it took a lot of hard work and 2 attempts, but the outcome was worth it!

MaMaw was able to see Brynlee's weekly Friday gymnastics while PaPaw stayed home with William. Here are a few pictures of our cake in progress and the final product, and some video of my little gymnast (she is the one that is coming down the slide). Thank you for visiting us MaMaw and PaPaw. We love you!!

My 2 cents

I constant phrase that has been echoing across our nations is: "A change is coming". I am not sure how I feel or what I think about the direction of our nation. Putting all racial issues aside, I am speaking of our spiritual leadership. I have been putting forth an effort everyday to pray for our nation. I ask that everyone do the same, if you have not been already.
I believe in an all powerful God, I believe in the power of prayer, I believe my God is faithful. I also believe God can allow the effects of our actions to play out. Do not get me wrong, I believe he can change any situation and intervene at any time, but I believe sometimes he binds his hands so his glory will be revealed in the end. I ask for all to pray that our new President allows God to direct his decisions and not the desires of our nation. I pray that he calls upon our Lord in every hour of need. I pray that others can see the beauty and awesomeness of our Lord and Saviour in our daily lives!
My final thoughts: No matter what happens in this world around us, we Christians can take comfort in knowing that , we serve a God who is King of all Kings, and no one or no thing can change that. Isn't it great to serve a faithful GOD!!!

Today's Encouraging Word

For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! --2 Corinthians 4:17, NLT

2009 . . . You're joking me!

This morning I told Brynlee: "Happy New Year". She asked me, what does that mean? I informed her that 2008 has gone, and now we begin a new year, 2009. All she had to say about that was: "You're joking me."

Happy New Year!!!
